o Abstract

The poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases Tankyrase-1 (TNK1_HUMAN) and Tankyrase-2 (TNK2_HUMAN) and bind proteins through an ankyrin-repeat domain (SM0248). The recognised motif (tankyrase-binding motif) is RxxPDG. Target proteins include telomere-repeat binding factor 1 (TRF1_HUMAN), insulin-responsive aminopeptidase (LCAP_HUMAN), 182-kDa tankyrase-binding protein (TABP_HUMAN), nuclear/mitotic apparatus protein (NuMA - Q14980).
